Community Partners International (CPI) is partnering with Green Hill to support a network of Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) providing the first line of care to Rohingya refugee communities in Camp 1W and 4 of the Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Cox’s Bazar.
The CHVs help to foster health literacy and health-seeking behaviors within the refugee community, with a particular focus on women of reproductive age and children. The CHVs give first aid and support community access to emergency medical services and immunization. They also support early notification and referral of suspected COVID-19 cases and their contacts.
